2 Day Mt Rainier All-Inclusive Small Group Tour

1 / 8

Overview

No two tours with us are the same! Our guides craft itineraries that reflect the best of what the Park has to offer that day, including group interests and dynamics. Please note that the itinerary outlined is a sample of potential destinations that could be included in the tour.

Experience Mount Rainier's highlights on a 2 day tailored to you. Our TripAdvisor "Hall of Fame" guides run the only tours permitted to explore more than a mile from the park road as the National Park is ecologically important & delicate. The U.S. Park Service restricts other tour companies - our competitors offer "road tours."

We are professional nature educators (not just bus drivers) that have dedicated our lives to artful travel. Our all-inclusive small-group trip is limited to just 9 travelers.

What to expect

Day 1 Journey to Sunrise

  1. Seattle

    30 min

We'll pick you up from your Downtown Seattle hotel or Airbnb! Once we finish all the pickups, we'll head towards the Mountains!

  2. Mount Rainier

We'll head straight towards the Mountain! Keep your eye on the scenery outside the windows, you may start to see Rainier peek out as we leave the city.

  3. Mount Rainier National Park

After a quick bathroom/coffee stop along the way, we'll enter the National Park! The next 2 days will be spent exploring its natural wonders.

  4. 4 min Admission ticket included

Our main destination for today is Sunrise. At 6,400 feet in elevation, this is the highest a vehicle can reach on the Mountain. A plethora of trails depart from the Visitor Center, and we'll set out to explore!

  5. Mount Rainier National Park

    1 hour

When we've finished exploring Sunrise, we'll hop back into the van for a drive to the south side of the Mountain. Stunning backdrops abound along this route!

  6. Paradise

    2 hours

We'll reach Mt Rainier's south side and climb back up to Paradise. At slightly lower elevation than Sunrise, Paradise is home to your accommodations for the night - the historic Paradise Inn, where we'll also eat dinner after settling into your room.

Day 2 Wake up in Paradise

  1. Paradise Loop

    4 hours Admission ticket included

Hike straight out of the door of Paradise Inn and onto the southern slopes of Mt Rainier. Journey up to see the Nisqually Glacier and the peaks of the Tatoosh Range all around you. Share the meadows with talkative marmots, and marvel at the spire-like firs that dot the mountainside.

  2. Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center

    20 min Admission ticket included

Paradise is home to a world-class visitor's center with interpretive information on the National Park.

  3. Narada Falls

    30 min Admission ticket included

Several waterfalls are accessible by foot along the route up the mountain! Narada Falls is one of our favorites.

  4. 15 min Admission ticket included

Bubbling springs, massive old-growth spruce trees, walking trails, a museum, and restrooms make up this historic area of Mount Rainier National Park.

  5. Trail of the Shadows

    30 min Admission ticket included

Giant old-growth spruce trees clustered around bubbling mineral springs and views of Mt. Rainier's peak make this one of the most memorable short trails in the National Park.
